PORTOROŽ – National EEPA coordinators of Montenegro and Serbia have awarded the RISE (Regional Incubator for Social Entrepreneurs) project as the national winners to participate in the European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) in Category 6 – Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship.
The EEPA recognizes those who promote entrepreneurship and small business at the local, national, and regional levels through various initiatives spanning six individual categories. The winning projects are chosen through a series of rounds of national and European competitions to determine the shortlist, while the prestigious EEPA jury reveals their top choices per category and their selection for the Grand Jury Prize at the awards ceremony.
The Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship category rewards projects that offer new and innovative solutions and approaches to promote socially and environmentally responsible business. This is done by encouraging disadvantaged groups to participate in entrepreneurship initiatives or promoting corporate social responsibility among small and medium-sized enterprises to create a more inclusive society. The innovative approaches of the RISE project impressed the national EEPA coordinators which allowed them to be selected for advancing to the next phase of the competition.
During the EEPA Assembly #SMEAsssembly2021 held in Portorož, Slovenia, on 15 – 17 of November, the jury members Professor Thomas Cooney, Franciso Sá, Jernej Salecl, Dimitri Pivot, Veronique Willems, Thomas Wobben, and Kristin Schreiber have announced nominees of the Category 6 – Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship being the Opportunities for Entrepreneurs (Turkey), Opstuwen Kringloopbedrijven (the Netherlands) and Inkludera (Sweden), with the last one winning the main category award.
The RISE project and its consortium members congratulate all the awarded colleagues, and wish the best in their future endeavours!
